To Do List 3-10

Looking back on last week I was able to get the blitzers done rather quickly.  The next two weeks are pretty busy for me so I hope to get a lot done but I may not.  I think I will have all of the DoA players finished by the end of this month.  I need to work on their bases so I can get them pitch ready.

The next tournament I think I'll be attending is Headbanger's Ball IV.  Right now I'm planning on playing Underworld or Slann but I may debut the DoA at that tournament if they are done enough.  I have plans on making them the major player of my three rotating tournament teams.

Here is last weeks to do's:

To Do by 3-10-14
1.  Highlight and tattoo Tig. (Done)
2.  Highlight and tattoo Clay.  (Done)

To Do by 3-17-14
1.  Highlight and tattoo Juice
2.  Highlight and tattoo Half Sack.

Update 3-7: Blitzers

Progress.  The DoA are moving along quiet nicely now.  Last evening I finished up the highlight and tattoos on two more Dwarfs.  Clay and Tig have received there treatment and now I can move on to the runners.

I also did some work to the bases.  A friend of mine pointed out that the players were too tall with the base style I had picked.  He was right as they made my dwarfs the same height as a standard human linemen.  I decided to go down to one layer of cork so Big Otto has been de-based for the time being.

Here are Clay and Tig as they stand now:

All those cigars are bad for your teeth Clay.

This model was designated as a runner by the manufacturer but he looked too tough.  I think Blitzer suits him better.

Update 3-6: Bobby Elvis

One more down.  Bobby Elvis has been highlighted and given his Elvis inspired accents.  I think the team is taking good form.  The miniatures that become players, the more excited I get to seeing them on the pitch.  This brings the total of players to four; Jax (Troll Slayer), Opie (Troll Slayer), Otto (Long Beard), and Bobby Elvis (Long Beard).

Once again  posting these pics show me thing to work on.

To-Do List 3-3 and Update

So it has been a while since I did a To-Do List and I want to get back into it.  I feel like I've been doing well in the area of keeping up with a schedule but putting it in writing is a way to stay on track.  If I can keep up my current pace I should be finished with highlighting and tattooing of the DoA by April.

To Do by 3-10-14
1.  Highlight and tattoo Tig.
2.  Highlight and tattoo Clay.

Now to the update portion.  I highlighted and tattooed Opie.  He is the only shirtless and cut-less character so I decided to go for it and tattoo up his back, ie the SoA character of Opie.  Here he is.

I really like posting pictures here because I can see better what to correct.   When the team is done they will be better.

Update 2-28-14: Jax

Prolific... I kid.

Here is Jax.  He still needs to be put on his base and sealed but he is the first to this point (other than the test model).  I think he looks good for me.  I hope to make the rest of the team look good too.

Jax is in a rage!  Someone from the Goblin Republican Army has taken his first born, Axel!

I considered trying to free hand a "Reaper" onto the back of his coat but then I thought better of it.  It has been quite some time since I last played dwarfs, I can't wait to finish and field this team.

Update 2-27-14: Positionals

Here are the positionals.  Now onto the highlighting and the base.  I can't wait to get that going just to see how I'll do.  I highlighted, tattooed, and sealed the test Otto figure the rest should be better.

These miniatures will be Jax and Opie respectively.

These miniatures will be Clay and Tig respectively.

These miniatures will be Juice and Half Sack respectively.

Update 2-26-14: Basecoats complete

I posted yesterday that I had gotten a lot done with the DoA.  Last night I finished up the wash phase on all the models.  Here are the linemen.

Having two players come from the same sculpt necessitates differentiation, I hope to accomplish that with clothing, tattoos, and their bases.  This miniature will be Hap and Kozik.

This miniature will be Otto (was my test model - not done) and Filthy.

This miniature will be Bobby Elvis and Chibs.

I have the positionals done too but I'll put up picks of the in the future.  I'm still figuring out my camera situation and hopefully that improves the pictures in the future.  For now this is what it is.
